Crafting harmonious landscapes with purpose
Welcome to Conscious Landscape, where our passion for the land drives us to not just sustain but actively regenerate and restore natural landscapes. Born from a deep-seated desire to connect more authentically with nature, our journey is about transforming spaces into thriving ecosystems that everyone can cherish.
Our roots
Hi, we’re William & Elliot and we both lead Conscious Landscape.
We created Conscious Landscape out of a shared desire to be in service of the restoration and regeneration of natural landscapes. Moving away from the narrative around sustainability, we wanted to play a role in actively regenerating.
We work with landowners to restore, regenerate, and manage land in a considered and ecological way. As well as our own skills and knowledge, we draw from our network of trusted specialists including ecologists, food growers, horticulturists, farmers, builders, and innovators all leading in their fields.
Our essence
Our impact, mission, and approach unveiled
At Conscious Landscape, our mission transcends mere landscaping; it’s about fostering regeneration and restoration with every project we undertake. Drawing on a holistic understanding of ecosystems, we design landscapes that bolster biodiversity, resilience, and natural beauty. This approach isn’t just about enhancing spaces—it’s about nurturing deep, meaningful connections between people and nature, ensuring long-term ecological health and harmony.
Together, we are dedicated to helping you transform your land into a thriving, natural space, that you, your family, or your business can enjoy for years to come.

Tom Forward
ECOLOGIST
With 20 years experience in the field of wildlife conservation and connecting people with nature, Tom works with farmers and land managers to identify species and habitats on their land and offers advice on how to farm with nature in mind.
If not out in the field with a back pack full of survey equipment, he can also be found leading guided walks and safaris on Ashdown Forest, the Knepp Estate, and his local organic farm, Tablehurst, because for him, being able to share the joy of the natural world, to interpret the needs of wildlife, is as important as collecting biological data.

Landscapes to get lost in
The power of regenerative and natural landscapes
Biodiversity
By reintroducing native species and creating habitats, we not only enhance the visual appeal of landscapes but also provide crucial support for pollinators, birds, and other wildlife. This biodiversity is essential for maintaining ecological balance, ensuring that each species plays its part in the greater web of life.
Resilience
Today’s landscapes face unprecedented challenges from changing weather patterns, but through regenerative design, we have the opportunities to better adapt and foster resilience. By focusing on soil health, water management, and native plant diversity, our designs contribute to improving water infiltration, reducing flood risks, and ensuring landscapes can withstand today’s changing patterns.
Wellbeing & Connection
Spending time surrounded by nature is known to reduce stress, improve mood, and enhance physical health. By creating environments that invite you to connect with the natural world, we foster a sense of belonging and shared stewardship of the land.
